Description

Photographer Joshua Lutz spent ten years documenting the Meadowlands, and some of his most evocative pictures are collected in a book of the same name. With his 8×10 view camera, Lutz created mysterious yet revealing images of the people and places he found in the 32 mile stretch of marshy wilderness that sits between New Jersey and New York. State of the Arts accompanies Lutz and his large format camera on a shoot in the Meadowlands. Also in the story: Rats author Robert Sullivan (he wrote the introduction to Lutz’s new book) and Brian Clamp of ClampArt, where an exhibition of Lutz’s work took place.
