Helen M. Stummer is an intrepid photographer who spent over 30 years documenting one of Newark’s toughest neighborhoods. Her memoir, Risking Life and Lens: A Photographic Memoir, was published in 2017 by Temple University Press. She is a resident of Metuchen, NJ.
