Description
We meet composer Maria Schneider and soprano Dawn Upshaw as Upshaw and the New Jersey Symphony perform Winter Morning Walks, Schneider’s Grammy Award-winning song-cycle based on poems by US Poet Laureate Ted Kooser. Although primarily a jazz artist, Maria Schneider straddles the worlds of classical and jazz music seamlessly, collaborating with musicians as diverse as Dawn Upshaw and David Bowie.
