Description

After Charles Lindbergh flew solo from New York to Paris, he became the most famous man in the world. He and his wife, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, became the 20th century’s first celebrity couple, hounded by reporters and photographers at every step. These two intensely private people formed a bond marked by great tragedy and great success. They traveled the world and wrote about their experiences in best-selling books. Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh: Couple of an Age, a sprawling exhibition in 2016 at Morven Museum & Garden, brought a new focus to their lives. State of the Arts visits the show, and meets Reeve Lindbergh, the couple’s youngest daughter.

This story spurred the production of the award-winning PBS documentary Anne Morrow Lindbergh: You’ll Have the Sky, narrated by Judith Light and Lily Rabe, and produced by PCK Media.

“Couple of an Age” was produced by Susan Wallner and narrated by Dan Gordon. Videography by Joe Conlon and Jim Masi.
