Description

New Jersey’s Folk Life Centers are piloting a first-of-its-kind program that sends artists into the homes of people unable to participate in the arts. The project is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. We spend a day with storyteller Queen Nur from the Folk Life Center at the Perkins Center for the Arts and witness firsthand the profound impact the program is having on people unable to leave their homes.

Eric Schultz produced the video for State of the Arts. Joe Conlon was the director of photography and Dan Gordon narrates.
