Description
Valerie Vaughn uses the power of musical storytelling to share the stories of the New Jersey Pinelands and Shore. With her guitar, voice, and a deep connection to the region, Valerie creates original music that captivates audiences while educating listeners about the unique history of their home. Featured in the story is a day Valerie spent with elementary students at the Tuckerton Seaport and Baymen’s Museum. In 2024, Valerie Vaughn received a New Jersey Heritage Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for her work as a musical storyteller focusing on the history of the New Jersey Pinelands and Shore.
