Description
State of the Arts producer Eric Schultz profiled choreographer Carolyn Dorfman and the debut of her work, Echad, in 2002. Echad, the Hebrew word for one, was inspired by Carolyn’s Jewish roots and her own family history as the child of Holocaust survivors. The work was created shortly after her visit to the Auschwitz concentration camps in Poland. The choreographer collaborated closely with composer Greg Wall on the creation of Echad.
