Description
Nimbus Dance joins forces with the full New Jersey Symphony for a reimagined Firebird, bringing Stravinsky’s classic into the present day. Set to his iconic score, this powerful performance blends mythological storytelling with modern themes of family, trauma, and loss. Firebird premiered at NJPAC in Newark in March 2025. Interviews include NJ Symphony Music Director Xian Zhang, Nimbus Founder, Artistic Director and Firebird Choreographer Sam Pott, as well as Nimbus dancers.
The creation of Firebird was commissioned by the New Jersey Symphony, with additional funds provided by NJPAC.
