Description

Taiwanese artist Kang Muxiang exhibits his huge biomorphic works made from retired elevator steel cables at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. Artist Kang, as he is known, speaks through a translator about the meaning of his work, which he sees as connected people around the earth. Tom Moran, the chief curator at Grounds for Sculpture, comments that the steel and copper cables used by Kang are recycled from their original use in one of the tallest buildings in the world, Taipei 101.
