Description

Mel Leipzig: Everything is Paintable, a State of the Arts documentary special, was nationally distributed by PBS in January 2013.  Enjoy this touching portrait of the New Jersey-based realist painter Mel Leipzig. The program was produced over a 3-year period by his friend and neighbor (and State of the Arts producer) Eric Schultz. Leipzig’s portraits are in the collections of the Whitney Museum, the White House, and many other museums.  Several of his well-know subjects are interviewed including architect Michael Graves, art critic Gerry Haggerty, and sculptor Jonathan Shahn, as well as his 2 children, Joshua Leipzig and Francesca Leipzig Picone.
