Emily Hubley has been making short animated films and high-profile commissions for over thirty years. Her first feature-length film “The Toe Tactic” had its theatrical premiere in 2009 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and was screened at the SXSW Film Festival, among others. State of the Arts visited Hubley’s South Orange studio to see what a day in the life of an independent animator is like.
