Description
Artist Julie Heffernan’s paintings are fantasies dealing with real world issues. She creates layered narratives rooted in art history yet fully enmeshed in the realities of our time, from climate change to #metoo. State of the Arts visits Julie Heffernan in her Brooklyn studio, where we see her working on one of her large paintings, and at the opening of her solo exhibition at Rowan University Art Gallery, Mending a Reflection. (September 3-October 26, 2019)
Produced by Susan Wallner, Narrated by Nemuna Ceesay, Videography by Joe Conlon and Kirk Sohr.
